Titebond Heavy Duty Construction Adhesive is not designed for continuous submersion or for use on polystyrene or polystyrene foams. For polystyrene foam, tub surrounds and most other plastics, we recommend Titebond Interior/Exterior Construction Adhesive.
Application Temperature - 0°F. to 100°F.
Service Temperature Range - -20°F. to 120°F.
Method of Application - Cartridge/caulking gun
Working Time - Approximately 10-20 minutes for a 1/4" bead.
Surfaces to be bonded should be clean and free from excessive oil, grease, water, dirt or any other material that may deter adhesion. Apply Titebond Heavy Duty Construction Adhesive to only one of the surfaces to be bonded. NOTE: When bonding subfloors or wet, frozen and treated lumber, nail or screw as recommended by the American Plywood Association.
Scrape off dried excess with a putty knife. Remove residue with mineral spirits or equivalent solvent. Follow solvent vendor ’s precautions when using solvents. NOTE: Test solvent on an out-of-the-way area to make sure it will not mar or attack the surface.
DANGER: EXTREMELY FLAMMABLE. VAPOR HARMFUL. Contains acetone, hexane and toluene. Keep away from heat, sparks and flame. Use only with positive cross ventilation. Avoid breathing vapors. Do not swallow. Do not allow eye contact or prolonged skin contact. Uncured product can causeye or skin irritation. Prolonged or repeated overexposure to solvents in uncured product can causeentral nervous system, peripheral nervous system, eye, skin, liver, kidney or respiratory system effects. FIRST AID: If dizziness or other adverse effects are experienced, move to fresh air; call physician if discomfort persists. If eye contact occurs, flush eyes with water for 15 minutes; contact physician immediately. If swallowed, do not induce vomiting; contact physician immediately.
