This Truth Hardware "HomeGard" Secondary Sash Lock is used with the "HomeGard" Sash Lock when dual locking is required. The Secondary Sash Lock is only used in tie bar applications. Truth Hardware's "HomeGard" Sash Locks are a perfect low-profile lock option for windows with smaller side stops. HomeGard locks offer a strong detent which consistently provides a more secure feeling during lock up. These Truth Hardware window sash locks can withstand negative air pressure of 275 lbs. per lock. This replacement window lock is easy to install and is used by several window manufacturers. The recommended screws for wood applications are 2 pieces of #8 x 1.25 Phillips, Flat Head, Sheet Metal Screws. The recommended screws for PVC and Metal applications are 2 pieces of #8 Phillips, Flat Head Screws.
