Tremco 440 Tape is a 100% solid polyisobutylene cross-linked butyl, pre-formed sealant designed to deliver durable, watertight performance across a wide range of construction applications. It is commonly used for non-compression glazing of vision lites and spandrel panels in PVC, metal, and wood frames in low-rise buildings and residential construction. The tape is also well suited for lap sealing between steel, aluminum, and porcelain panels, as well as sealing joints subject to shear movement between similar and dissimilar materials.
Unaffected by ultraviolet light through glass, Tremco 440 Tape maintains consistent long-term performance and remains flexible at low temperatures, ensuring reliable installation in varying climates. It may also be used by automotive manufacturers for sealing door panel vapor barriers.
