Designed to eliminate the need for traditional aluminum spacers, separate desiccant filling, and corner keys, Super Spacer® simplifies IG unit assembly while improving edge-to-edge thermal efficiency. The flexible foam construction makes it ideal for special shaped insulating glass units where rigid spacer systems may be difficult to form or install.
Featuring a pre-applied pressure-sensitive adhesive, the spacer structurally bonds directly to the glass surface for efficient fabrication and dependable long-term performance. The dual seal design combines the structural spacer with a moisture seal to create a durable and energy-efficient insulating glass unit. Super Spacer® can be sealed using standard hot melt butyl sealant or Super Spacer urethane gunning systems for enhanced weather resistance and longevity.
No oven press is required during fabrication, helping streamline production processes and reduce manufacturing complexity. The integrated desiccant is built directly into the foam spacer material for continuous moisture absorption and insulating glass protection.
For proper storage and performance, Super Spacer® material should not remain exposed to the atmosphere for extended periods. Unused material should be repacked in a foil bag and stored in an airtight container to preserve desiccant effectiveness.
