When installed as a limit device, the Track & Limit Arm restricts the window opening to a controlled position while allowing smooth operation during normal use. It is especially recommended for installations above two stories, where limiting the opening helps protect the window sash and hardware from excessive wind loads when the window is in the near fully open position. The amount of opening and operating friction varies depending on the anticipated wind load requirements.
For maintenance or cleaning, the support arm can be detached using the optional release key (sold separately), allowing the window to open farther when needed. Once maintenance is complete, the arm can be reattached to restore the window's opening restriction.
